Shiatsu

Originally from traditional Chinese and Japanese medicine, Shiatsu has also become a popular treatment in the Western world. Custom Compression

Based in the Lymph Clinic in Wolfsberg, the Maierhofer Sanitary Goods Store has been dealing with lymphology and compression therapy for over 20 years. The specialized team takes measurements, assesses the progression of lymphedema/lipoedema, and initiates the production of custom compression aids. Appointments can be made at the Therapy Center.

Feldenkrais® is about learning through movement. In a Functional Integration® session, you will be gently touched on a table by the practitioner and guided through a sequence of functional movements tailored to your immediate needs and capabilities. Through precise manual impulses, a dialogue with the nervous system is created. By means of conscious awareness, you will become familiar with your movement patterns and discover new options for movement sequences. This opens up new possibilities for self-organization. The ability of the nervous system to functionally adapt plays a significant role here. All physical and mental areas—movement, thought, feeling, sensation, perception—are addressed. The lessons improve movement competence and enhance qualities such as lightness and fine motor skills.

Lymphatic Drainage & Complex Decongestive Therapy (CDT)

Often an “overlooked” therapy, but one with great potential. It can typically be used much earlier (often immediately after surgery, trauma, etc.) than other therapies, is very gentle, does not cause pain, positively supports healing, and can significantly reduce the side effects of edema (such as swelling, pain, and movement restrictions). We also offer bandaging when needed.

Paraffin

A paraffin bath for the hands is a form of heat therapy, especially indicated for osteoarthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS), and chronic rheumatic conditions. Although it is now offered far too rarely, its effectiveness for patients is unparalleled, which is why we also provide this treatment option for you.

Pelvic Floor Training

Pelvic floor training, also known as Kegel exercises, is designed to strengthen the muscles of the pelvic floor. It is beneficial for young mothers, women with bladder and bowel weakness, those experiencing back pain, and much more.
